Don’t be unhappy! Rejoice with them. The more people you know who are sitting happily in new positions, the more your networking circle into other companies grows. No one likes to be the last person holding their post in the event of job meltdown, but that doesn’t mean it’s a bad position to be in. Just keep in touch with all your old colleagues and keep networking in the event your job goes too.
When a company begins to lose a lot of people that may be the time to revise your own career plans. If you see many executives leaving, it could be because they know that the company is a sinking ship. Pay attention to the movement of people and how many job openings your company has. Sometimes, as odd as it seems, they begin to hire young people very quickly to replace the older people they know they will soon be letting go.
